Privacy Policy

We built Home Inspector specifically so that your data never has to leave your device. Here's exactly what that means.

Last updated: April 2026

Summary

Home Inspector does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers — because we don't operate any servers. The app is a fully offline iOS application. All inspection data, photos, templates, and reports are stored only inside the app's private sandbox on your iPhone or iPad.

Information we do not collect

Information stored on your device

The app stores the following locally, in its private iOS sandbox:

This data is accessible only to the Home Inspector app on your device. It is protected by iOS's standard sandboxing and file-protection features.

Sharing

Sharing is always driven by you. Using iOS share sheets (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, etc.) you can send a generated PDF, Excel file, backup zip, or template JSON to anywhere you like — the app does not initiate any transmission on its own.

Camera and photo permissions

When you use the in-app camera, iOS requests camera permission. When you pick a photo from your library, iOS requests photo-library permission. These permissions are entirely optional — declining them simply disables the corresponding feature. Any photos you capture or import are saved inside the app's private storage and are not transmitted anywhere.

Children's privacy

Home Inspector is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in the future, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Because we don't collect contact information, we can't notify users directly — please check this page when you update the app.
